Dear Nan, Hello from London! I am still in the shoe shop on Neal Street. There is a paper on the wall in the back room with everybody's holiday on it. Twenty-eight days each, with pay — that is the law here for a full week's work. Eight of my twenty-eight are the bank holidays: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Easter Monday and the rest. The shop shuts on those days and the boss counts them in. So I have twenty days left. I am taking five in November, when nobody buys boots. See you at Christmas. Sarah
