Setting the Agenda Straight — Epoche Original Series
Setting the Agenda Straight Speakers: Lina · Daniel Lina Thanks for joining, everyone. Before we start, can we agree on what we actually need to decide today? Daniel Good idea. Last week we ran out of time, and three items were never discussed. Lina Right. So I would like to drop anything that is not urgent today, and keep only the items that block our release. Daniel That works for me. The biggest blocker is the login bug on mobile. Customers have been complaining since Monday. Lina Okay, that is item one. What else cannot wait until next week? Daniel The payment failure rate has gone up to four percent. If we wait, the support team will be overwhelmed. Lina I did not know it was that high. Do we know what is causing it? Daniel Partly. Two of the three card processors changed their API last Friday, and we are still on the old version. Lina So we need a migration. How long would that take if we started today? Daniel Two days for the code, one more for testing. If nothing else breaks, by Friday afternoon we should be safe. Lina Good. Can someone else cover your other tasks during those three days? Daniel Probably Maya. She finished her sprint early, so she has some bandwidth. Lina Great. I will message her right after this meeting and confirm. Lina Now, the third blocker you mentioned earlier — was it the analytics dashboard? Daniel Yes, but it is less urgent. We can ship it next sprint if the payment migration goes smoothly. Lina Perfect. So today we only decide on two things: the login bug and the payment migration. Everyone agrees? Daniel Agreed. Let's not let anyone drag us into the dashboard discussion this time. Lina I will hold us to that. Anyone who brings up another topic gets reminded politely. Daniel Then let's begin. I will share the login logs first — the screen is on my window now. Lina Go ahead. We have fifty minutes. Let's make them count.
